1. Must be willing to work 2 rotating shifts, including weekends.

2. Assists cooks and kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, assembling trays and portioning food items according to prescribed menus and dietary requirements.

3. Transport meal trays and carts to patient rooms and other designated locations within the hospital.

4. Assist with meal service by serving food, beverages, and condiments to patients and customers in a courteous and efficient manner.

5. Ensure that meal trays are delivered promptly and accurately, taking into account special dietary needs and preferences.

6. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in kitchen areas, and any service areas by following established sanitation and safety protocols.

7. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, trays and serving carts to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

8.Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies in inventory to supervisory staff for replenishment and resolution.

9. Work closely with dietary staff, kitchen team and nursing staff to ensure patient meals are delivered on-time and provide support to enhance seamless kitchen operations.

10. Assist Head Chef in conducting regular checks and monitoring of inventory goods, purchasing processes and all vendor/supplier relationships.

11. Provide friendly and courteous assistance to patients, customers and hospital staff regarding meal options, dietary restrictions and special requests.

12. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing demands and priorities within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Be prepared to assist with additional tasks as required to support overall kitchen operations.

13. Adhere to all hospital procedures, policies and regulatory requirements governing food service operations, including food safety, infection control and confidentiality.
