Job Description

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

(i) Bachelor in Sports Science (Honors) or any related field organised by the Government, from any local institutions of higher learning or equivalent qualification;
(ii) At least 3 years working experiences in the related field. 
Other requirements

1) Flexibility, resilience and willingness to work long hours.
2) Strong interpersonal, presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
3) Proactive and dynamic individual with ability to adapat to changes, able to work under pressure and willing to work on shift duties.
4) Highly motivated and discplined with high level of integrity.
5) Possess good communication, keen to learn new thing and able to work in a team. 
6) Malaysian citizen 

Language qualifications

All candidates must have obtained:
(i) Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level OR equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian citizens).
(ii) Candidate without any of these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test

Responsibilities

1) Strength and Conditioning
(i) Develop and implement strength and conditionings programme as part of the rehabilitation.
(ii) Educate clients on proper techniques and safety protocols to minimise the risk of injury. 

2) Exercise Testing (Lab/Field Tests)
(i) Conduct exercise training, including VO2 max testing and isokinetic testing.
(ii) Organise and perform field-based fitness assessments such as beep tests or sprint performance evaluations.

3) Wellness Programme Development
Design, implement and manage wellness programmes such as weight loss or fitness improvement initiatives tailored for staff and students.

4) Collaboration and communication
(i) Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team at ISMEC to support clients' health and fitness goals.
(ii) Assist in marketing and promoting sports sciences services to the university community. 

5) Administrative and Miscellaneous Task
(i) Maintain accurate record of all client interactions, programmes and testing results.
(ii) Prepare progress reports and presentations for management.
(iii) Participate in training and research activities in ISMEC.
