We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, and the ability to provide actionable financial insights to support the company's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare, analyze, and present comprehensive financial reports for both internal management and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all financial practices, records, and reports strictly adhere to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
• Oversee tax compliance, including the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, SST, and other statutory requirements in accordance with Malaysian tax regulations.
• Implement, monitor, and enhance internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant regulatory bodies during annual audits and tax assessments.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA membership) are highly advantageous.
• Proven experience in managing full-set accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong grasp of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining robust internal financial controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
