Job Summary
The Ecommerce Manager leads and manages the development and execution of pricing strategies to drive revenue growth, margin optimization and competitiveness across online sales channels. This role leads a team on data-driven pricing analysis, promotional effectiveness and market benchmarking while partnering closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance and Commercial teams to support business objectives in a dynamic ecommerce environment.
Job Responsibilities
1) Team management & leadership
- Lead and supervise the Material Control ecommerce team
- To set clear goals, KPIs and performance expectations
- Conduct regular team meetings, ongoing coaching and performance review
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in pricing data and analysis
- Foster a collaborative and result driven team environment
2) Pricing & promotion management
- Lead and manage the development and execution of ecommerce pricing strategies in line with the revenue and margin targets
- Analyze and recommend pricing changes, promotional mechanics, discounts and markdowns.
- Monitor pricing performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion, sales velocity and profitability
- Support dynamic pricing initiatives and campaign pricing execution
3) Data analysis & reporting
- Analyze sales, margin, pricing and promotional data to generate actionable insights
- Monitor key pricing KPIs such as price index, margin, sell-through, promotional uplift and revenue contribution
- Prepare regular pricing dashboard, performance review and business presentation for stakeholders
- Identify pricing risks and opportunities through scenario analysis and forecasting
4) Market & Competitor Analysis
- Ensure analysis on competitor price benchmarking and market trend analysis across e-commerce platform
- Monitor customer price sensitivity and category behavior to support pricing decision
- Provide insights on competitive movements, promotions and assortment strategies
5) Cross functional collaboration
- Work closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to align pricing with campaigns, inventory plans and financial forecast
- Support campaign planning, seasonal events and key sales period (eg. major online campaigns)
6) Process improvement & governance
- Support pricing governance, accuracy and compliance across e-commerce channels
- Assist in improving pricing processes, reporting automation and analytics capabilities
- Utilize pricing tools, BI platforms and ecommerce systems effectively
Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics or related field
- 4-5 years of experience in managing team in pricing, commercial analytics, revenue management or related roles
- Experienced in regional / multichannel e-commerce operations, online retail or digital marketplaces is strongly preferred
- Exposure to pricing strategy, promotions or category management is an advantage
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar BI/analytics tool
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, pricing tools or web analytics is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
- Good commercial mindset with ability to translate data into business insights
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
