A Finance and Accounting Intern supports daily financial operations, including data entry, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing, while assisting with reports and audit preparations. Ideal candidates are pursuing a finance/accounting degree, proficient in MS Excel, and detail-oriented.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Accounting & Bookkeeping: Assist with data entry of financial transactions, invoice processing, payment vouchers, and purchase orders.
• Financial Reporting: Support month-end/year-end closing, reconcile bank accounts, and prepare, maintain, or update financial reports, schedules, and dashboards.
• Audit & Compliance: Assist in documenting internal controls, supporting audit walkthroughs, and managing tax compliance schedules.
• General Support: Organize and maintain digital/physical financial records, and perform administrative tasks for the finance department.
• Analysis: Assist with variance analysis, performance metrics (KPIs), and potentially explore AI tools for efficiency improvements.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) is crucial; familiarity with accounting software or AI tools is often preferred.
• Attributes: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining financial integrity.
• Duration: Typically a 6 month full-time internship.
