About the Role
At Markaids, material planning is not just scheduling, it is business continuity in action.
As a Material Planning Specialist, you ensure raw materials are available at the right time, in the right quantity, to support smooth production and on-time delivery. When planning is accurate, operations flow. When it’s not, the entire supply chain feels it.
This role sits at the center of Supply Chain, connecting Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Commercial teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Translate sales forecasts and production plans into accurate raw material requirements
- Ensure material availability to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations
- Collaborate daily with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, and Commercial teams
- Manage inventory health: safety stock, DOH, slow-moving, and expiry risks
- Monitor and respond to supply risks such as delays, shortages, and demand changes
- Handle urgent operational needs including rush orders and last-minute adjustments
- Use SAP (MRP) and Power BI for planning, tracking, and reporting insights
The Reality of the Role
- This is a fast-moving, high-accountability role.
- You will regularly deal with:
- Sudden demand changes
- Supplier or shipment delays
- Competing priorities across departments
- Inventory pressure (too much vs not enough)
- There is rarely a perfect scenario. Success comes from fast thinking, clear communication, and strong ownership under pressure.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years experience in Supply Chain / Material Planning / Production Planning
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field
- Experience with SAP (MRP experience preferred)
- Strong Excel and analytical thinking skills (Power BI is an advantage)
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable
Why Join Markaids
At Markaids, the Supply chain is not a support function, it is a core driver of business performance.
This role gives you real exposure to end-to-end operations, decision-making pressure, and cross-functional collaboration. You won’t just be maintaining plans, you’ll be actively shaping how smoothly the business runs every day.
