Full Stack Developer – Java & Security

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Employment Type: Long Term Contract

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer with strong Java and Security expertise to join our technology team in Kuala Lumpur.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and React.js, along with practical knowledge of application security, secure coding and security vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable full-stack applications.
• Develop backend applications using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Develop frontend applications using React.js and related technologies.
• Implement secure coding practices across frontend and backend applications.
• Identify and remediate application security vulnerabilities.
• Work with security tools and address findings related to SAST, DAST, SCA and vulnerability scanning.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT and RBAC.
• Ensure applications comply with security standards and development best practices.
• Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with security, DevOps, QA and other technology teams.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of experience in software/full-stack development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture.
• Experience with React.js and frontend development.
• Strong experience in REST APIs.
• Good understanding of Application Security / Secure SDLC.
• Experience identifying and fixing OWASP vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of SAST, DAST and SCA/security scanning tools.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, authentication and authorization.
• Good knowledge of Git and CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker and cloud environments such as AWS/Azure.
• Good knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
