Site Manager

• Monitor project progress and address any delays proactively.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager to align with project goals.
• Oversee all on-site construction activities including material procurement, subcontractor management, and workforce allocation.
• Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and manpower for smooth progress.
• Manage site costs, track expenses, and optimise resource use to stay within budget.
• Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with specifications.
• Plan and manage site facilities like access and storage areas.
• Ensure construction complies with design specs, contracts, building codes, and regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, welfare, and environmental laws.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate the site team and subcontractors.
• Plan ahead to solve problems and resolve conflicts on site.
• Analyse and manage project risks.
• Implement process improvements when necessary.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred for senior roles).
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in construction site management or similar role.
• Experience managing various construction projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure, HDB, LTA, DSTA) preferred depending on company focus.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and motivate diverse teams and subcontractors.
