Job Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize line performance through data-driven analysis of yield, downtime, and cycle time.
- Support troubleshooting efforts to minimize unplanned downtime and resolve quality issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process and product issues using tools such as 5 Why, 8D, and Fishbone diagrams.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve recurring quality problems.
- Improve process capability, reduce defects, and ensure consistent product quality.
- Ensure processes are standardized and compliant with internal and external quality standards.
- Actively participate in Process FMEA (pFMEA) and (DFMEA) sessions for both new and existing processes.
- Contribute technical input to identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes.
- Support the evaluation, qualification, and buyoff of new products from a process and manufacturability standpoint.
- Participate in First Article Inspection (FAI), process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and pre-production trials.
- Ensure production line readiness, including trained operators, validated processes, and availability of supporting documentation.
- Ensure all tooling and jigs undergo proper testing, functionality checks, and buyoff before release to mass production.
- Work with PE/DE and vendors to fabricate custom tooling and ensure delivery within timeline and spec.
- Evaluate impacts of material, design, or process changes on quality and efficiency.
- Review related documentation including work instructions, control plans, and setup sheets accordingly.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean methodology.
- Drive waste reduction, efficiency improvements, and cost-saving initiatives using Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED, etc.).
- Collaborate with R&D, Production, Quality, Tooling, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth product and process transitions.
- Provide input on product designs to enhance manufacturability, reduce cost, and simplify assembly.
- Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to ensure plant capabilities align with product requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline production through DFMA principles during design reviews.
- Support internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949and customer audits) with required technical documentation and responses.
- Support technical assessments and supplier qualifications where applicable.
- Other responsibilities are subject to the arrangement of the immediate superior/management.
Experience / Skill Required:
- Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ working experience in the manufacturing /engineering environment.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact with people atall levels.
- Computer literate.
- Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949.

Pay: Up to RM7,000.00 per month

Experience:
- ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO13485 and IATF16949: 1 year (Preferred)
- Manufacturing/ engineering environment: 3 years (Preferred)
