Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Project Engineer, located in Butterworth / Penang. The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for leading complex Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering projects from conception through installation, testing, and commissioning.

Daily tasks include detailed technical planning, leading junior engineers and site supervisors, troubleshooting critical M&E issues, and ensuring all works strictly adhere to safety, budget, and quality standards. The role involves close collaboration with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and authorities to drive timely project execution.

Responsibilities
- Lead on-site M&E installation, testing, commissioning, and system troubleshooting (HVAC, cleanroom, electrical power distribution, and low voltage systems).
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, authority compliance requirements, and vendor submittals.
- Coordinate progress billing, variation orders (VOs), and material delivery schedules with site teams and suppliers.
- Mentor and oversee Junior/Project Engineers and sub-contractors on-site to ensure work quality and strict compliance with safety regulations.
- Drive site meetings with clients, main contractors, and consultants to resolve technical bottlenecks swiftly.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (BEM registered preferred).

Experience: Minimum 4–6 years of hands-on project engineering experience in M&E building services or industrial projects.

Industry Experience: A background working with construction companies is preferred.

Technical Expertise:
- Strong background in HVAC systems, cleanroom technology, process piping, or power distribution is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in site coordination, technical troubleshooting, and project planning. Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, or relevant engineering/project software.

Work Location: On-site in Penang (Butterworth) / KL area
