UWCSEA is seeking a System s Engineer to join our collaborative IT Team.

UWCSEA is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our IT Team servicing both campuses. This hybrid role bridges enterprise IT infrastructure operations and end-user support, collaborating with the Infrastructure Team to monitor, maintain, and secure network and server infrastructure while delivering technical support to faculty and students. The successful candidate will optimize network performance to ensure a seamless digital experience, driving continuous learning and dynamic technological growth across our vibrant community.

Main Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and optimize campus local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless systems (WLAN) to maintain high availability.
• Perform cross-platform system administration, security patching, and configuration management across Windows, Linux, macOS, and storage platforms.
• Provide L1/L2 end-user support, managing endpoint deployments (MDM) for Apple and Windows digital learning devices and logging issues in ticketing systems.
• Support IT infrastructure projects, hardware refreshes, software license renewals, and maintenance of network diagrams and SOPs.
• Assist in maintaining unified video conferencing infrastructure and VOIP telephony systems across both campus locations.

Person Specifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or related field with 3–5 years of experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Technical proficiency in HPE Aruba, VMware, Windows Server, Veeam, TCP/IP, VLANs, and Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
• Preferred certifications include ACSA/ACSP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP); K-12/Higher Ed experience is a plus.
