A Banquet Manager plans, organizes, and executes events (weddings, conferences, galas) by liaising with clients, understanding needs via Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), coordinating with internal teams (kitchen, sales, operations) and vendors, and overseeing setup/breakdown to ensure seamless, high-quality guest experiences and adherence to brand standards
Key duties include managing timelines, budgets, staffing, resolving issues, and conducting post-event evaluations for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Client & Sales Liaison: Meet clients, understand event specifics (menu, setup, timelines), and serve as the main point of contact.
- Event Planning: Analyze Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), plan room setups, action stations, buffets, and handle special requests.
- Coordination: Work with Sales, Kitchen, and Operations teams, plus external vendors, for smooth execution.
- On-Site Management: Supervise staff, manage event flow, troubleshoot issues, and ensure guest satisfaction during the event.
- Logistics: Oversee setup, breakdown, equipment management, and cleanliness of banquet areas.
- Administration: Prepare reports, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in hospitality, event coordination, or sales support.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and solve problems.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
