What The Role Is

You lead holistic infrastructure master planning for MINDEF/SAF, encompassing workplace policies and standards, long-term refresh plans for SAF camps and bases, and the major redevelopment of the Gombak precinct.

What You Will Be Working On

• Drive budget planning and allocation, and establish enablers such as design blueprints and period contracts to scale workplace refresh across the organisation
• Oversee smart building management systems and operational support IT for both new and existing projects
• Manage a wide range of amenities and workplace experience initiatives, including work-near-home facilities across four locations, auditoriums, meeting rooms, pantry provisions, shuttle bus services, and commercial operations at the new CMPB and MINDEF
• Provide frontline service support for MINDEF Principals' offices
• Plan and resource infrastructure requirements to support MINDEF during operations
  
  Challenge(s)
• Keeping abreast of evolving workspace design trends and assessing their suitability within MINDEF/SAF's work culture and operational context
• Driving continual improvement in workplace productivity and experience while managing diverse stakeholder demands during process changes
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil or Structural Engineering, Building and Real Estate Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 15 years of experience in large-scale workspace refresh or estate management (gross floor area above 50,000 sqm)
• Experience in construction or large-scale renovation projects, including Security-By-Design and Green Mark elements
• Strong strategic, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships across government and industry
• Knowledge of environmental or sustainability studies is advantageous
