Job Summary
Manage project administration and contract documentation to ensure accurate progress claims, cost control, and contract closure. Support tendering and site surveys while resolving payment and claim issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly progress claims, variation order submissions, and final accounts to facilitate timely contract closure
- Calculate quantities and prepare detailed bills of quantities for project costing and tendering
- Monitor progress claims and resolve discrepancies with clients to ensure accurate payments
- Assist in tender preparation by verifying accurate inclusion of costing elements
- Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, variations, cost reports, and site measurements for audit and reporting purposes
- Review and negotiate final payments with contractors and subcontractors to resolve payment discrepancies
- Conduct site surveys as required to support project documentation and claims
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Building Construction / Civil Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of AutoCAD to support quantity take-offs and project documentation
- Experience working with waterproofing subcontractor companies
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to manage contract and payment issues
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Availability to start work at short notice or immediately
