To set direction for improving the QA Department's performance in line with management policy and objectives;
Ensure that products manufactured conform to customers' specifications and requirements;
Ensure that out-going inspections are carried out as planned;
Provide feedback to management on quality performance, progress and status;
Identify and evaluate quality problems and develop recovery plans to resolve such issues;
Evaluate & appraise QC staff's performance & develop training programs to upgrade staff's skills;
Ensure proper maintenance and updating of QC documentation control;
Chair the Materials Review Board Meeting;
Involve in suppliers and sub-contractors, audit and selection team.
Liaise with customers on improvement of product quality;
To ensure that inspection equipment are duly calibrated and necessary corrective measures are taken when inspection equipment is found to be defective;
To liaise with customers, vendors and in-house personnel on quality issues;
To liaise with vendor/Supplier on quality issues
To conduct vendor audit at vendor's premises;
To conduct on - the - job training for new QC Inspectors;
To carry out First Article Inspection;
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of product non-conformity and
verify the implementation of solutions.
To control MRB store for non-conformance parts & initiate MRB meeting.
