Role Description The Civil Design Engineer will work on-site in Singapore in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of civil infrastructure projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed design drawings, plans, and specifications for roads, drainage, utilities, and other civil works using relevant design software. The role involves performing technical calculations, coordinating with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and local authorities, and ensuring designs comply with local codes, safety standards, and project requirements. The Civil Design Engineer will review site data, participate in design meetings, support tender documentation, and provide technical input during construction to resolve design-related issues. The position also includes maintaining accurate project documentation and supporting continuous improvement in design processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong civil engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of infrastructure design, materials, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar) and ability to produce clear technical drawings and models.
• Experience preparing calculations, reports, and specifications in line with relevant codes and regulatory requirements.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in reviewing plans and resolving design conflicts.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and authorities.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; professional registration or progress toward it is an advantage.
• Previous experience in civil or infrastructure design, ideally within Singapore or similar regulatory environments, is highly beneficial.
