Main Responsibility
Responsible for assisting the Operation Manager in managing the service operations of the outlet, including managing assigned sections and undertaking Manager-on-Duty responsibilities when required.
Key Responsibilities
Financial
- Assist in maintaining the operating equipment par stock.
- Minimise breakage and loss of operating equipment.
- Maintain all operating equipment and FF&E items and report any breakage or loss to the Assistant Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Manager.
- Ensure all charges on guest checks are accurately recorded according to established guidelines.
Marketing
- Promote and maintain good public relations with outlet clientele.
- Implement departmental sales plans and promotional activities.
Operational
- Assist in daily service briefings and establish and maintain standard checklists for floor operation.
- Check all tables prior to service to ensure they are properly set up.
- Maintain service stations with proper mise-en-place.
- Keep updated on daily specials and recommend them to guests.
- Maintain courteous and professional service standards at all times.
- Assist or replace waiters in carrying out their duties whenever required.
- Seek guest feedback and refer feedback or complaints to the Assistant Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Manager.
- Perform duties delegated by the Assistant Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Manager using the best available knowledge and skills.
- Implement operating standards in compliance with directions from the Restaurant Manager and work towards achieving quality objectives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum SPM with at least 5 years of working experience, OR Certificate/Diploma in Hotel & Catering, OR Professional Certificate in Food & Beverage Services Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Captain or above, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong supervisory and communication skills.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Familiarity with food handling, hygiene and quality control procedures.
- Experience in banquet operations will be an added advantage.
- Pleasant personality, well-groomed and customer-oriented.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
