Assistant Manager, Hospitality

Salary: $4,000 – $5,000 per month

Job Overview

We are seeking a service-oriented and hands-on Assistant Manager, Hospitality to support the delivery of high standards of hospitality and resident experience within a residential care environment.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day coordination of hospitality operations, including resident services, dining, housekeeping, laundry and other service-related functions. This role requires someone who enjoys being operationally involved, interacting with residents and their families, and working closely with internal teams and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operations of hospitality and resident service functions.

• Ensure a consistently high standard of service and overall resident experience.

• Attend to residents' and family members' feedback, requests and service concerns in a professional and timely manner.

• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve service issues and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Support the operations and service standards of dining, housekeeping, laundry and other hospitality-related functions.

• Conduct regular operational checks to ensure cleanliness, presentation and service standards are maintained.

• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth service delivery.

• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing hospitality-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and service standards.

• Monitor service performance and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.

• Support manpower planning, staff deployment and day-to-day supervision of hospitality team members.

• Coach and guide team members to maintain appropriate service and operational standards.

• Assist with vendor coordination, service performance monitoring and follow-up on operational requirements.

• Support cost control, budgeting and responsible utilisation of operational resources.

• Assist with procurement and inventory requirements relating to hospitality operations where required.

• Ensure operational practices comply with relevant organisational policies, safety requirements and applicable regulatory standards.

• Work collaboratively with other departments to support a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents.

• Perform other hospitality and operational duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business, Tourism or a related discipline.

• Relevant experience in hospitality, hotel operations, serviced residences, healthcare hospitality, residential services or other service-oriented environments.

• Experience in guest services, front office, housekeeping, dining operations or hospitality operations would be advantageous.

• Prior experience supervising or coordinating a team would be advantageous.

• Strong service orientation with the ability to handle feedback and service recovery professionally.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, family members, colleagues and external service providers.

• Able to coordinate across multiple operational functions and manage competing priorities.

• Organised, resourceful and comfortable working in a hands-on operational environment.

• Basic understanding of budgeting, cost control or operational resource management would be advantageous.

• Candidates with relevant transferable hospitality or customer service experience who are looking to progress into a supervisory or assistant managerial role are welcome to apply.
