Company Driver / Delivery Driver

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and reliable Company Driver / Delivery Driver to handle the transportation and delivery of company goods, materials and documents to customers, suppliers and other designated locations.

The driver is responsible for ensuring all goods are delivered safely, accurately and on time, while keeping the company vehicle clean and in good working condition.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect goods, materials and documents to/from customers, suppliers, subcontractors and other designated locations.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and according to the required schedule.
• Check all goods against the Delivery Order (DO) before leaving the company premises and before handing over goods to customers.
• Ensure all goods are properly loaded, secured and protected to prevent loss or damage during transportation.
• Record delivery and collection details accurately when required.
• Plan and follow suitable delivery routes to ensure timely delivery and efficient use of the company vehicle.
• Follow all road safety regulations and applicable traffic laws at all times.
• Perform basic daily checks on the company vehicle and immediately report any mechanical problems, damage or abnormalities to the Supervisor/Management.
• Keep the company vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition.
• Take proper care of all company vehicle equipment, including Touch ’n Go/SmartTAG, tools, keys and other accessories.
• Monitor fuel level and arrange refuelling when necessary.
• Follow company procedures in the event of an accident, breakdown or emergency.
• Ensure the company vehicle is properly parked, locked and the engine switched off during loading/unloading, rest periods and after completion of duty.
• Do not allow any unauthorized person to operate the company vehicle.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when required.
• Coordinate with the office, Store, Warehouse, Production and other departments regarding delivery and collection arrangements.
• Report delivery status, delays or any issues encountered during delivery to the person in charge promptly.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.

Minimum Qualification

• PMR / SPM or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Malaysian driving licence suitable for the company vehicle.
• GDL licence will be an added advantage / required where applicable.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Company Driver, Delivery Driver or similar position is preferred.
• Familiar with roads in Penang Island, Seberang Perai/Butterworth and surrounding areas.
• Experience making deliveries to factories and industrial areas will be an added advantage.

• Responsible, punctual and trustworthy.
• Good driving record and safe driving habits.
• Able to follow delivery schedules and instructions.
• Able to handle and check Delivery Orders (DO) and basic delivery documentation.
• Physically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading goods.
• Good time management and route-planning skills.
• Willing to make multiple delivery/collection trips per day when required.
• Able to work overtime when necessary.
• Able to communicate and coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal staff.
• Must take good care of company vehicles and goods at all times.

Main Delivery Area: Penang Island, Seberang Perai/Butterworth and surrounding areas

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
