(Senior) HVAC Engineer

Monthly Salary: HKD $40,000 – $60,000 (negotiable based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, site-focused (Senior) HVAC Engineer to drive on-site execution, installation, and system delivery across diverse building projects, with a special emphasis on data center facilities. In this role, you will lead field implementation, supervise contractor activities, resolve site-specific engineering challenges, and manage testing and commissioning (T&C) to ensure full operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full on-site installation, construction progress, and implementation of HVAC systems in strict compliance with Hong Kong statutory regulations and approved designs.

• Conduct regular site inspections, supervise subcontractors, and enforce stringent QA/QC and site safety standards throughout the construction lifecycle.

• Lead the testing, adjusting, and commissioning (T&C) phases, ensuring all HVAC plant equipment, ductwork, and control systems meet performance and energy-efficiency targets.

• Review contractor shop drawings, BIM models, and site coordination details to resolve inter-disciplinary clashes (MEP/fire services/electrical) on-site.

• Manage site installation schedules, perform technical design reviews, and optimize HVAC layouts specifically for high-availability data center environments.

• Facilitate smooth handovers to clients and management teams by preparing accurate T&C documentation, site inspection reports, and operational manuals.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of site implementation and HVAC delivery experience within the Hong Kong construction sector.

• Sector Background: Proven experience with main contractors or specialized MEP subcontractors is highly preferred. Hands-on site and T&C experience in data center HVAC systems is a strong advantage.

• Core Competencies: Strong practical background in site supervision, installation management, and system troubleshooting.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of Hong Kong building codes, EM&A requirements, and local green building standards.

• Software Proficiency: Practical experience with AutoCAD, Revit (BIM coordination), and MS Office.

• Skills: Excellent communication, contractor management, and practical problem-solving skills on site.
