Job Summary
Lead the IT pre-opening workstream for a hotel, managing technology infrastructure setup, system implementations, and vendor coordination to ensure operational readiness and enhance guest experience.
Responsibilities
Lead the IT pre-opening workstream by managing technology infrastructure setup, systems implementation, network deployment, testing, user readiness, and operational launch planning
Coordinate installation, configuration, integration, and handover of hotel technology systems including Opera PMS, POS, telephony, TV, Wi-Fi, back-office systems, and interfaces
Collaborate with Corporate IT, vendors, and project teams to ensure all technology systems are fully operational and ready for opening
Oversee administration, maintenance, and optimisation of Opera PMS and other core hotel systems to ensure smooth operations
Support implementation and adoption of smart hotel technologies and digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and guest experience
Coordinate system upgrades, software enhancements, and resolve technical issues with vendors and corporate IT teams
Ensure technology security, data protection, and compliance with company standards and policies
Provide technical support and deliver training to hotel team members across departments to enhance system usage and knowledge
Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and external partners to maintain service quality and support
Required competencies and certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Minimum 5 years’ experience in hotel IT operations with leadership or management responsibilities
Strong knowledge of Opera PMS, hospitality systems, networks, hardware, software, databases, and system integrations
Experience managing technology projects, system implementations, and vendor relationships
Fluency in English
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Pre-opening hotel IT experience
Knowledge of Singapore data protection, cybersecurity, and technology compliance requirements
Previous IT leadership experience within Singapore hospitality
