Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team on a one-year contract basis. Our company undertakes various engineering projects in the oil and gas industry, including projects for PETRONAS facilities and operations.
The successful candidate will be involved in electrical engineering, project coordination, site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate electrical work for oil and gas projects.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and technical assessments.
- Supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Monitor project schedules, materials, manpower, costs, and work progress.
- Liaise with clients, PETRONAS representatives, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Attend technical, coordination, and site meetings.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare progress reports, inspection records, test reports, and handover documents.
- Assist with tenders, cost estimates, and technical proposals when required.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant working experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial, or engineering sector is preferred.
- Experience working on PETRONAS projects or facilities will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant engineering software.
- Good communication, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Able to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Willing to travel, work outstation, and attend project sites when required.
- Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
