Job Summary

We seek a qualified Mandarin Teacher to deliver an Academic Mandarin programme for Primary School students (Grades 1–5), fostering language proficiency through structured lessons and immersive teaching methods.

Designation:
Mandarin Teacher / Mandarin Language Teacher

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with Primary School students (Grades 1–5)

Dairy Farm Lane

Responsibilities

Conduct Mandarin lessons for Primary School students at beginner and intermediate proficiency levels twice weekly, each session lasting 90 minutes

Develop and deliver a progressive Mandarin curriculum tailored to students’ age and proficiency to ensure continuous language development

Prepare detailed lesson plans, learning objectives, and teaching materials aligned with curriculum goals

Use Mandarin and English exclusively in the classroom to facilitate bilingual language acquisition

Apply visual, non-verbal, and immersive teaching methods to enhance students’ Mandarin comprehension and speaking skills

Monitor and assess students’ learning progress regularly and provide targeted support to address learning needs

Communicate learning progress and follow up with students and parents as necessary to support student development

Participate actively in coordination meetings with school leadership to align teaching strategies and programme objectives

Issue certificates of participation and achievement upon programme completion to recognise student accomplishments

Comply with school policies including workplace health and safety, child safeguarding, data protection, and security standards

Attend mandatory training sessions organised by the school, including child safeguarding training

Maintain professional standards and confidentiality when interacting with students, parents, and handling school information

Required competencies and certifications

Teaching degree or qualification relevant to teaching Mandarin

Experience teaching Mandarin to Primary School students

Fluency in both English and Mandarin

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Strong communication skills demonstrated by effectively managing classroom interactions and engaging students

Classroom management skills applied to maintain a positive and productive learning environment

Professional collaboration skills to work constructively with students, parents, and school management
