About the role

We are seeking an Account Assistant to join the accounting team at Besuto Auto M Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Skudai, Johor. As an Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organisation. You will assist with financial record-keeping, transaction processing, and various administrative accounting tasks that are essential to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of our accounts department.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing financial transactions in the accounting system with accuracy and attention to detail (Payment Voucher & Official Receipt)

• Processing invoices, purchase orders and expense claims in accordance with company procedures

• Maintaining and organising financial records and supporting documentation

• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including sending invoices and payment reminders

• Supporting the preparation of monthly financial reports and reconciliations

• Data entry and clerical duties related to accounting operations ( Billing & Supplier Invoices)

• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures (SOA Customer & Supplier)

• AR & AP will be departmental functional to generate task

What we're looking for

• SPM qualification or equivalent, with Malaysian accounting qualifications (such as LCCI or Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia in accounting) being highly advantageous

• Proven experience working as an Accounts Officer, Accounts Clerk or in a similar accounting support role

• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to accurately process financial data and figures

• A high level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all accounting tasks

• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Knowledge of Malaysian accounting practices and GST/SST compliance is preferred

• Punctuality and reliability with a professional approach to work
