About the role

We are seeking an experienced M & E Engineer (Construction) to join Aneka Bena M.N. Sdn Bhd on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role within our engineering team, based in Putrajaya, where you will play a crucial part in the mechanical and electrical design, planning, and execution of construction projects. As an M & E Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and electrical systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standards, whilst adhering to project timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements. This position is essential to delivering quality outcomes and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the construction industry.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure that installations comply with approved designs and quality standards
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of M & E works
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports on construction activities, challenges, and resolutions
• Perform calculations and analysis to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of mechanical and electrical systems
• Manage and review bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgetary controls for M & E components
• Identify and resolve technical issues and defects during construction and commissioning phases
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and permits
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records for audit and reference purposes

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical and electrical engineering, preferably within the construction sector
• Strong knowledge of M & E systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, fire safety systems, and building services
• Proficiency in CAD software and BIM (Building Information Modelling) tools
• Thorough understanding of Malaysian building codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., MS 1604, IEC standards)
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing solutions
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly desirable
• Experience with project management software and tools is an advantage

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
