Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to perform precise machining operations in line with setup sheets, CAM programming, job routers, inspection plans, and QMS documentation. The role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality products, optimizing production efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute CNC machining operations according to setup sheets, CAM programs, and job instructions
• Perform first piece inspection after tool changes and verify critical dimensions
• Adjust tooling offsets, replace inserts or cutters, and fine-tune machine settings as needed to maintain quality and productivity
• Read, interpret, and apply technical documentation and drawings, including GD&T requirements
• Maintain machine and work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards
• Optimize production efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of production orders
• Conduct quality checks on finished components and ensure compliance with specifications
• Protect and re-use used cutters to support cost-saving and waste reduction initiatives

Scope of Authority

• Follow work instructions and cycle time targets from supervisors
• Make minor adjustments on machines to maintain quality and efficiency
• Conduct quality checks and escalate any issues or non-conformance to the supervisor
• Take ownership of tools, inserts, and cutters, minimizing wastage and cost

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field
• At least 1 year of experience in CNC machining or production operations
• Knowledge of CNC machining, GD&T, and quality control techniques
• Hands-on experience in adjusting tooling offsets and optimizing machine settings
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
• Ability to work independently and in shifts
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia & English
• Physically able to perform hands-on tasks in a production environment
