Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and audit the hotel’s daily revenue from all revenue-generating departments, including Rooms, F&B and other outlets.
• Review daily revenue reports, cashier summaries, POS reports and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Reconcile daily sales and revenue against cash, credit card, bank and other payment records.
• Check room revenue, occupancy, room rates, packages, discounts, rebates and complimentary transactions.
• Audit F&B transactions, including food and beverage sales, voids, discounts, complimentary items and promotional rates.
• Verify credit card settlements and ensure discrepancies are properly investigated and resolved.
• Review cashiers’ reports and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and supported.
• Identify unusual transactions, discrepancies, errors or irregularities and report them to the Finance Manager/ Director of Finance.
• Ensure proper posting of revenue and adjustments into the accounting system.
• Prepare daily revenue and audit reports for management review.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of audit records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and revenue reconciliation.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis when required.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, Reservations and other departments to resolve revenue-related discrepancies.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements by providing relevant supporting documents.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and guest information.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Finance Manager or management.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or related field.
• Previous experience in hotel finance, income audit or accounting is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of hotel PMS/POS and accounting systems is preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Able to identify discrepancies and follow up effectively.
• Organized, responsible and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
