We are looking for an Assistant GT Manager to join our Nestlé Purina Petcare division, to support the development and execution of General Trade (GT) channel strategies to deliver sustainable sales growth, distribution expansion, market share gains and profitable business performance.

The role is responsible for managing assigned customers, wholesalers and distributors, executing customer business plans, driving in-store excellence, supporting new product launches, strengthening trade partnerships, and identify new Customer expansion opportunities to maximize growth acceleration across the General Trade channel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Sales and Business Targets

• Achieve sales, distribution and growth targets for assigned customers and distributors.
• Identify opportunities to grow category penetration and customer contribution.
• Monitor business performance and implement actions to address performance gaps.

  Manage Customer and Distributor Relationships

• Build strong relationships with assigned customers, distributors and wholesalers.
• Conduct regular business reviews to drive mutual growth.
• Ensure customer issues are resolved effectively and promptly.

  Execute Customer Business Plans

• Develop and implement customer plans in line with channel objectives.
• Support Integrated Commercial Planning activities with key customers and distributors.
• Monitor execution and recommend improvement opportunities.

  Drive Distribution and In-Store Excellence

• Improve product availability, visibility and assortment across assigned outlets.
• Ensure effective merchandising and promotional execution.
• Support expansion of distribution coverage and route-to-market initiatives.

  Support New Product Development (NPD) Launches

• Execute launch plans and customer activation activities for new products.
• Coordinate with distributors and customers to achieve launch objectives.
• Track launch performance and recommend corrective actions.

• 
  Forecasting and Sales Planning

• Prepare sales forecasts and demand planning inputs.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain healthy inventory positions.
• Partner with Supply Chain to minimize out-of-stock risks.

• 
  Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and other Sales teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Provide channel and customer insights to support business decision-making.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and business improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of FMCG sales, customer development or account management experience.

• Bachelor degree holder, preferably in Business Management or Commerce.

• Experience managing distributors, wholesalers or retail customers.

• Knowledge of General Trade channel operations.

• Experience in sales planning, forecasting and promotional execution.

• Strong customer relationship and negotiation skills.

• Proven track record of delivering sales and distribution objectives.
