AS/400 COBOL 400 Junior Developer

We are seeking an experienced AS/400 COBOL 400 Junior Developer to support Channels & Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) systems within a Core Banking environment, focusing on the development, maintenance, and support of AS400-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and development for Channels & EAI applications on the AS400 platform.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using RPG, C, and Java.
• Support payment systems and ensure smooth transaction processing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and implement improvements.
• Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and fixes.
• Manage and support ALDON for software deployment automation on AS400.
• Work with DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with the AS400 platform and DB2 database.
• Proficiency in RPG, C, and/or Java programming languages.
• Experience working with the ALDON deployment tool.
• Exposure to Core Banking environments.
• Experience in automation and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of system integration and middleware concepts.
• Understanding of banking/payment regulations and workflows.
• Experience in support, including incident handling and issue resolution for AS400-based applications.
• Understanding of Channels & EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) systems.
• Familiarity with payment processing systems.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices.
