Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Mechanic Technician to support maintenance and repair operations in a fast-paced steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring machinery operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including control panels and wiring.
• Maintain and service hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimize production disruptions.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
• Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in maintenance within steel or heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulic machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory Certifications

• A1 Electrical Competency Certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• Certification in Hydraulic Systems from recognized institutions such as Festo or OTC Malaysia
• Basic Electrical Safety Training
