Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is an added advantage

Minimum 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in a professional services firm)

Experience handling clients within the renovation and construction industry is preferred

Prior experience reviewing work and guiding junior team members

Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams)

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency in Mandarin (required to liaise with China-based clients); familiarity with Mandarin speaking work environments is an added advantage

Malaysian citizen or valid work authorization

Handle full set of accounts for assigned client portfolio

Manage daily accounting functions including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements

Assist in tax-related matters and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and customs

Handle Sales Tax (ST) obligations on imported materials and coordinate with Royal Malaysian Customs Department

Process payroll including statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)

Review work prepared by junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality

Liaise with clients (including China-based clients) on accounting and financial matters

Track and compile project-level financial data (contract values, payments, supplier/subcontractor status, cash flow)

Coordinate financial reporting and data exchange with China headquarters

Identify process improvements and enhance operational efficiency

Support ad hoc assignments as required by management
