• Minimum 3 years of experience in scriptwriting, content creation, video directing or a related creative role.

• Strong understanding of short-form video platforms and social media content trends

• Able to write conversational, engaging and attention-grabbing scripts.

• Strong storytelling, creative thinking and visualisation skills.

• Confident in directing talents, hosts and actors during shoots.

• Able to manage the full creative process from idea development to final video review.

• Good communication, teamwork and time-management skills.

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is required; English and Bahasa Malaysia are an advantage.

• Experience in personal branding, street interviews, lifestyle, entertainment or commercial content is an advantage.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who does more than simply write scripts. You should understand how content is filmed, performed and edited—and be able to take ownership of the creative outcome from beginning to end.

Salary: From RM4,000 per month, depending on experience and portfolio.

Applicants must submit a portfolio or examples of scripts and videos they have previously directed.

• Research trending topics, viral formats and audience interests across TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and Xiaohongshu.

• Develop creative content ideas and recurring video series for different brands and personal IP accounts.

• Write engaging short-form video scripts with strong hooks, clear storylines and effective calls to action.

• Translate client objectives and marketing messages into entertaining, platform-friendly content.

• Prepare shooting plans, storyboards, shot lists and talent directions before production.

• Direct talents, hosts and actors during filming to achieve natural and engaging performances.

• Work closely with videographers and editors to ensure the final video follows the intended script, pacing and creative direction.

• Review video drafts and provide clear, practical feedback for improvements.

• Maintain consistent content quality, brand tone and visual storytelling across all deliverables.

• Analyse content performance and continuously improve scripts and creative formats based on audience response.

• Manage multiple accounts and production schedules while meeting deadlines.
