• Degree or Professional Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in Payroll, HR Operations, or HR Shared Services

• Hands-on experience with SAP Payroll (Mandatory)

• Experience working within a Shared Services Centre (SSC) or multinational environment

• Strong knowledge of Malaysia payroll, employment legislation, tax, and statutory requirements

• Exposure to Singapore payroll processes is an added advantage

• Experience managing payroll vendors such as ADP

• Experience supporting payroll testing, system implementation, UAT, or migration projects

• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

Preferred Experience

• Workday knowledge and exposure

• Experience with SAP, Workday, HRIS, and CRM systems

• Payroll testing and system migration projects

• Reporting and data analytics capabilities

What You'll Be Doing

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering accurate payroll services while supporting employee administration, compliance requirements, and payroll-related projects.

Payroll & HR Operations

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing and statutory compliance activities for Malaysia, while supporting Singapore payroll operations.

• Administer compensation and benefits processes, including salary reviews, bonuses, allowances, and employee benefits.

• Support employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, leave administration, terminations, retirements, and offboarding.

• Act as Tier 2 support for payroll, tax, compensation, and benefits-related queries.

• Partner closely with HR, Finance, payroll vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll accuracy and service excellence.

• Prepare employee letters, HR documentation, document stamping, and maintain employee records.

Projects & Transformation

• Support payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, and migration initiatives.

• Participate in parallel payroll testing activities (SAP vs Workday).

• Assist with data migration and new entity setup projects.

• Support payroll audits, statutory submissions, tax reporting, and compliance reviews.

• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
