Requirements
Must-Have
Diploma / Degree in IT, Networking, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
5 years experience in Data Center / Infrastructure / IT Support role
Hands-on experience in:
- Server or network equipment installation
- Cabling (fiber & copper)
- Hardware troubleshooting and replacement
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, VLAN, switch ports)
- Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow)
Good to Have
Hands-on experience with HPE servers including DL360, DL380, and BL460 Gen8 / Gen9 / Gen10
Hands-on troubleshooting of:
- Memory
- Disks
- RAID controllers
- HBA
- FlexLOM
Experience with:
- RAID configuration and logical drives
- iLO configuration
- Blade servers and C7000 enclosures
Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere / vCenter
Knowledge of Microsoft Failover Clustering and Network Load Balancing (NLB)
Knowledge of storage systems such as SAN / NAS
Experience using iLO / iDRAC or other remote server management tools
Experience with Fluke tester, fiber troubleshooting, or backup / tape handling is an advantage
Physical Requirements
Able to lift IT equipment (up to 35–40kg with assistance)
Comfortable working in data center environment (hot/cold aisle)
Able to work on ladders for rack installations
Willing to perform physical and repetitive tasks
Able to move between data center areas/buildings if required

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Data Center Operations (Hands-On)
Perform rack & stack installation of servers, switches, and storage equipment
Install and manage fiber and copper cabling (RJ45, LC, SC connectors)
Handle server landing (new deployment) and configuration support
Perform decommissioning (removal of equipment) as required
Conduct hardware replacement (disk, PSU, cables, modules
Incident & Troubleshooting Support
Support server down, network link down, and hardware failure incidents
Perform onsite troubleshooting:
Power checks (PDU / rack power)
Network port and VLAN checks
Hardware diagnostics via iLO or console access
Replace faulty components under guidance from remote engineers
Work with L2/L3 teams to resolve production outages
Service Request Execution
Install new servers and network devices based on request tickets
Perform OS reloads, patching, and basic configuration support
Verify server location, serial number, and asset ownership
Execute cabling requests and connectivity changes
Dock-to-Rack & Physical Handling
Receive, unbox, and move IT equipment from dock to data center
Install equipment into racks according to specifications
Manage packaging, labeling, and inventory segregation
Ensure proper handling of hardware storage and spare parts
Data Center Maintenance
Perform proactive checks for failed or at-risk hardware
Maintain proper cable management and rack organization
Ensure cleanliness and compliance with data center standards
Support hot aisle / cold aisle environment maintenance
Asset & Documentation
Update asset tracking systems (server name, rack, location, owner)
Ensure serial number validation and correct documentation
Support inventory accuracy and hardware lifecycle tracking
