Job Summary

Suzhou Terminal Operations Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Account Executiveto oversee the company'sfull set of accounts, statutory financial reporting, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with Malaysian accounting and taxation regulations.

This role offers excellent exposure to a growing international logistics and terminal operations business and provides long-term career development opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of experiencehandlingfull set accounts.

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian taxation, including SST, corporate tax, withholding tax, and statutory compliance.

• Experience in audit coordination and year-end financial closing.

• Proficient in accounting software such as SQL Accounting, AutoCount, or equivalent ERP systems.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

• Good communication skills in English and Mandarin (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders).

• Experience in the logistics, shipping, port, or terminal operations industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash Book.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate accounting records.

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

• Manage SST, withholding tax, corporate tax, and other statutory tax compliance requirements.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and government authorities.

• Assist in annual audit, tax filing, and statutory reporting.

• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning activities.

• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act 2016, and other regulatory requirements.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.

• Support finance-related projects and perform other duties assigned by Management.
