Johor Port Hiring! Full Time Engineer (Maintenance & Repair) in Johor - Ricebowl

Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent field.

Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a related maintenance engineering field, preferably with mechanical handling equipment.

Strong mechanical/electrical technical knowledge.

Knowledge of Safety, Health, and Environmental procedures.

Proficiency in communication, problem-solving, and team management.

Proficiency in administration and office management for reporting and documentation.

To supervise all preventive and corrective maintenance for mechanical handling equipment, ensuring performance meets design specifications and all machinery operates in a safe and reliable working condition.

Enforce standard maintenance procedures, safety protocols (Permit To Work, PPE), and company regulations.

Record, update, and compile all maintenance and repair data. Produce accurate monthly maintenance reports and ensure proper documentation for future traceability and analysis.

Liaise with all internal departments and external stakeholders including contractors, vendors, parts suppliers, and port users. Conduct regular maintenance meetings with operations and contractors to align priorities and address issues.

Organize and manage the inventory system for parts issued by the central store, ensuring efficient usage by maintenance contractors.

Enforce 5S standards in maintenance areas and on equipment. Assist in crane certification processes with the Port Safety Department and DOSH. Monitor equipment accident reports (CRS & SPR). Study current systems and execute approved projects to improve operational efficiency and usability.

Motivate, manage, and provide technical guidance to a team of technicians, fostering an effective and supportive work environment.
