Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Private Chef, Personal Chef, Household Cook, Restaurant Cook, or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian, Asian, Western, and Fusion cuisine.

• Ability to prepare high-quality meals with consistent standards.

• Culinary training or Food Handling Certification is an added advantage.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Flexible and responsive to changes in meal preferences and schedules, with patience, calmness, and professionalism in handling stress and ad hoc requests.

• Maintains high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and integrity, and is honest, trustworthy, discreet, and strictly confidential.

• Willing to work at the employer’s residence daily (non live-in arrangement).

• Work schedule: 6 days per week or as per schedule requirements.

• Good command of spoken and written English is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily according to the family’s preferences and dietary requirements.

• Cook Malaysian, Asian, Western, and Fusion cuisine with consistent quality, taste, and presentation.

• Plan and manage menus, ensuring variety, creativity, and nutritional balance.

• Purchase fresh ingredients and manage grocery expenses within the approved budget.

• Manage kitchen inventory, including stock control, replenishment, and closing inventory, while minimising food wastage.

• Ensure proper food storage and maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and fully functional kitchen and workstation at all times.

• Support family meals, small gatherings, and special requests when required.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all household matters, family members, visitors, and daily routines.

• Perform any other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the employer.
