Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding tasks (tack welding, seal welding) on steel and other metals.
• Measure, cut, and prep metal components using grinders, plasma cutters, and saws.
• Read and interpret, with guidance, technical drawings and work orders.
• Set up welding machines (MIG, TIG, Arc) and perform minor equipment maintenance.
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, including keeping the work area clean.
• Support senior welders and fitters in daily operations and fabrication projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding vocational program or apprenticeship is generally required.
• Basic welding certifications (e.g., AWS) are preferred.
• Familiarity with welding tools, equipment, and metal types.
• Ability to work in, sometimes, confined or high spaces, lift heavy materials, and stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and good communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
