Minimum Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in vehicle or bus maintenance and workshop operations.

• Experience in diesel engine repairs and heavy vehicle systems is an added advantage.

• Experience working with buses such as MAN, Volvo, Scania, or similar brands is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience in inventory management and workshop operations is an advantage.

• Possess a valid driving licence. PSV or GDL licence holders will have an added advantage.

• Good communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

• Highly disciplined, responsible, proactive, and self-motivated.

• Able to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.

• Capable of working independently and leading a small team.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise daily, weekly, and scheduled inspections of buses, including engines, braking systems, electrical systems, safety systems, and other critical vehicle components.

• Carry out and oversee maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic vehicle systems.

• Diagnose complex technical faults and provide effective repair recommendations.

• Ensure all maintenance work complies with JPJ, PUSPAKOM, DOSH requirements, and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Review, verify, and ensure the accuracy of service records, maintenance checklists, and breakdown reports.

• Supervise and coordinate vehicle servicing schedules, PUSPAKOM inspections, road tax renewals, and fleet maintenance planning.

• Ensure compliance with vehicle safety requirements, emergency equipment readiness (fire extinguishers, first aid kits), and operational SOPs.

• Provide technical support and maintain breakdown assistance readiness to ensure prompt repair and recovery of vehicles during roadside emergencies.

• Manage and supervise spare parts inventory, stock control, and workshop equipment utilization efficiently.

• Ensure workshop tools and equipment are maintained properly and used in accordance with safety procedures.

• Utilize fleet management and maintenance systems to record, monitor, and analyse maintenance data.

• Guide, supervise, and provide technical coaching to Junior Technicians.

• Ensure all vehicles remain in optimal condition, safe, roadworthy, and ready for daily operations.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations & Technical Department.
