Manage the full set of accounts for an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare, analyze, and review monthly management accounts and financial statements.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory regulations, and reporting requirements.
Support tax-related matters and coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and customs agencies. Manage Sales Tax (ST) obligations on imported materials and liaise with the Royal Malaysian Customs Department as required.
Process payroll and ensure timely submission of statutory contributions, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB.
Review and validate work completed by junior team members to maintain high standards of accuracy and quality.
Act as the primary liaison for clients, including those based in China, on accounting and financial matters.
Monitor and compile project-specific financial information, including contract values, receipts, payments, supplier and subcontractor payment status, and project cash flow positions for management reporting.
Coordinate regular financial reporting and information exchange with the China headquarters to ensure alignment and transparency.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
Undertake ad hoc assignments and special projects as directed by Management.
岗位职责
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably gained within a professional services environment.
Exposure to clients in the renovation and construction sector is highly desirable.
Experience in reviewing work, providing guidance, and supporting the development of junior team members.
Proficient in accounting systems (e.g., Xero) and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
Fluency in Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with China-based clients. Familiarity with Chinese business practices and working environments will be an advantage.
