Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree in Sustainability,
Environmental Management, or an MBA is highly preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in ESG management, sustainability reporting, corporate governance, or a related field within a public listed company or a similarly complex organization.
Core Competencies & Knowledge: Deep, practical understanding of Bursa Malaysia’s Listing Requirements on sustainability, the NSRF, and the application of IFRS S1 and S2.
Skills & Attributes: Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse groups, from operational teams to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities
1. ESG Strategy, Governance & Leadership
Develop, execute, and continuously improve the Company’s ESG strategy, roadmap, policies, and targets in alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. Lead and coordinate the Group’s ESG and Sustainability Committee, including preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes, and driving the implementation of the committee’s decisions and recommendations. Drive the integration of ESG considerations into corporate strategy, risk management, and operational decision making processes.
2. Sustainability Reporting & Compliance
Take full ownership of the preparation, review, and timely submission of the Group’s annual Sustainability Statement in accordance with the Listing Requirements and the enhanced prescribed format mandated by Bursa Malaysia. Lead the Group’s compliance with IFRS S1 (General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information) and IFRS S2 (Climate-related Disclosures), leveraging the CSI Platform to generate the required standardised disclosure format. Ensure the Sustainability Statement includes quantitative metrics and performance targets for at least the past three financial years, alongside an appropriate statement of assurance. Monitor changes in Bursa Malaysia’s listing requirements and other statutory ESG regulations, and
implement appropriate changes to the Company’s internal policies and reporting processes. Manage the data collection, validation, and performance analysis process, liaising with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
3. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as the central point of contact for ESG-related communications, engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulatory bodies, analysts, rating agencies (e.g., FTSE4Good), customers, and community groups. Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and proposals on ESG strategy, performance, and emerging trends to the Board of Directors, the Group CFO, and departmental heads. Lead the Company’s response to ESG assessments, ratings, and investor surveys, proactively managing the Company’s reputation as a responsible corporate citizen.
4. Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
Conduct regular ESG risk assessments to identify potential environmental, social, and governance risks across the Group’s operations. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified ESG risks, ensuring the Group’s practices are resilient and forward-looking. Lead and coordinate ESG audits, and liaise with regulators, certification bodies, and external consultants as needed. Drive ESG awareness and capacity-building initiatives throughout the organisation by designing training programs and workshops for employees and board members to foster a strong culture of sustainability
