Job Details

Position: Optometrist
Salary: RM4,000 – RM5,000
Working Days: 5 working days
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Location: No 16-G, Jalan Eco Grandeur 1/9A, Eco Grandeur, 42300 Puncak Alam, Selangor

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Optometrist to provide professional eye care services while also supporting daily retail operations in a clinic-style optical environment.

In this role, you will conduct eye examinations, prescribe corrective lenses, and ensure accurate clinical assessments. At the same time, you will engage with customers, manage orders, and support smooth store operations to deliver both clinical excellence and a strong customer experience.

This position is ideal for individuals who are clinically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable combining healthcare services with customer service and sales responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and perform accurate refraction and ocular health assessments
  • Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses, including fitting, education, and aftercare
  • Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation and refer abnormal findings to Ophthalmologists when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards and participate in continuous professional development
  • Handle customer enquiries via walk-in, WhatsApp, and phone calls, and convert them into confirmed sales
  • Manage POS entries, payments, receipts, and follow up on orders to ensure timely completion
  • Perform edging, quality control checks, packaging, and provide after-sales services such as frame adjustments and minor repairs
  • Conduct daily stock counts, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure product displays are clean, organized, and presentable
  • Accurately key in and maintain patient/customer records while ensuring confidentiality
  • Carry out opening and closing duties, cleaning tasks, replenish store amenities, and prepare daily sales reports

Requirements

  • Degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification in related field
  • Registered or eligible to practice as Optometrist (if applicable)
  • Strong clinical knowledge in eye examination and refraction
  • Able to handle both clinical and retail responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented and responsible in documentation and record keeping
  • Willing to work in a retail healthcare environment
