• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in Sourcing or Procurement Specialist.

• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management platforms, especially Alibaba and direct China suppliers.

• Experience in a similar industry, particularly in FMCG, trading, or GWP (Gifts with Purchase) products, will be an added advantage.

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

• Ability to build and sustain supplier and stakeholder relationships.

• Analytical mindset with proficiency in collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data.

• Good understanding of market dynamics, costing, and supplier risk management.

• Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Solid judgment and decision-making skills.

• Good command of Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia in speaking and written. (Mandarin is a plus)

• Willing to work in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.

• Able to support cross-functional departments and take initiative on assigned tasks.

• Willing to travel locally and abroad, including factory quality control trips to China.

Supplier & Sourcing Management

• Identify and source the latest GWP industry trends from China-based suppliers, and provide monthly updates and insights to the local team.

• Implement sourcing plans to ensure orders meet specified quality, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency.

• Establish and maintain a reliable supplier base in line with company requirements.

• Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams and China HQ.

• Handle supplier inquiries, requests for quotations (RFQ), proposals, and bidding processes.

• Develop long-term supplier relationships and maintain rapport with all levels of supplier personnel.

• Handle product sourcing for sales proposals and projects.

Purchasing & Negotiation

• Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

• Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with the Marketing Manager.

• Drive parts and process qualification in coordination with China HQ Quality Teams.

• Guarantee supply continuity for all product portfolios in collaboration with Marketing and Operations teams.

• Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve cost savings and efficiency improvements.

• Evaluate quotations and ensure cost competitiveness.

• Work with sales on urgent project costing and lead time confirmation.

Coordination & Reporting

• Document supplier performance, action plans, and timelines for assigned sourcing projects.

• Work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Quality, and Finance) to resolve supply chain issues.

• Track purchasing activities and prepare reports on supplier performance, cost analysis, and sourcing progress.

• Support internal audits and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

• Ensure accuracy in purchase order issuance and project material readiness.

• In charge of purchase samples (generic or preproduction) and all respective arrangements.

• Work with QA/QC to verify sample quality at all stages of production.

• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
