Commerce Dot Com Sdn Bhd (CDC), is an e-commerce service provider incorporated on 21 June 1999. The company has a paid-up capital of RM40,000,001. The government through the Ministry of Finance owns one golden share in the company. It was initially a joint venture between a Malaysian investment holding company, Puncak Semangat Sdn Bhd and a Japanese IT consulting services company, NTT Data Corporation.,CDC was established with the sole purpose to participate in the Government open tender with a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) business model. The tender is to develop and operate the first-of-its-kind electronic procurement system for the Federal Government of Malaysia (ePerolehan) that cater goods and services. It was a national project under the Electronic Government as part of the MSC flagship applications.,With the success of the ePerolehan project in transforming the Government’s manual procurement process, the concession agreement between the Government and CDC was extended with an Outsourcing of Services (OOS) contract model.,A major upgrade to the system which was completed in December 2017 offers crucial technology breakthrough that provides greater efficiency, transparency and data integration that is on par with world best practices.
