Job Summary:

The reservation agent at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur Hotel plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient booking processes, contributing to overall guest satisfaction and the success of the hotel. This position requires a customer-focused attitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other hotel departments to deliver exceptional service.

Due to visa limitations, only locals will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling all bookings from any channels (Eg : Telephone / Email / Website) with promptness and efficiency.
• Managing telephone reservations and ensuring successful conversion into revenue
• Room reservations are created in the Opera Property Management System.
• Accuracy of bookings inside the Opera reservation screen.
• Each reservation must be handled with a smile, being courteous and professional.
• Reservation traces is required to be followed up on a daily basis.
• Focused on guests’ requirements and needs.
• Coordinate block reservations in close collaboration with the Sales Team, ensuring that the Group Resume and Rooming List are received before the cutoff date.
• Track the status of room blocks and ensure updates are made in accordance with SOP.
• Lead weekly Group Resume meetings with the Sales, Finance, and Front Office teams.
• Tracking of no shows and cancellations.
• Managing the in-flow distribution of phone calls, to ensure minimum abandoned calls.
• Managing the in-flow distribution of emails, to ensure no back logs of bookings.
• Ensure that all colleagues are customer-obsessed in their communication with hotel guests.
• Handle special projects assigned by Reservation Manager.
• Focused on guests’ requirements and needs.

Requirement :

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management
• Must be conversant in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Must possess good writing skills in English

Experience

• 2 years working experience in a similar capacity in a Luxury Resort or Hotel is preferred.
