Digital Designer / Web Developer

We are looking for a creative, proactive and technically capable Digital Designer / Web Developer who can take ownership of our digital presence and turn ideas into effective visual and online experiences.

This role is suited to someone who does more than simply execute instructions. We are looking for a self-starter who actively contributes ideas, identifies areas for improvement, explores better solutions and continuously develops their skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging graphic and digital media for corporate, marketing and social media use.
• Design, develop and maintain company websites.
• Proactively recommend improvements to website design, usability, content and performance.
• Develop and maintain websites using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Update websites with new content, pages, functionality and security updates.
• Set up, maintain and manage e-commerce platforms and online transaction workflows.
• Manage website hosting environments including cPanel and WHM.
• Troubleshoot website, hosting, domain, DNS and performance-related issues.
• Optimize websites for mobile responsiveness, speed, usability and SEO.
• Create and maintain content for websites and social media platforms.
• Work independently to take projects from concept through design, development, testing and deployment.
• Research and recommend new technologies, design approaches and digital tools that can improve our online presence and workflow.

What We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency in common graphic and digital design software.
• Good working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar systems.
• Experience with website hosting, cPanel and WHM.
• Good understanding of responsive web design and modern UI/UX practices.
• Strong visual design sense with attention to typography, layout and branding.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.
• Able to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Web Design, Web Development, Digital Media, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Preferably 2+ years of relevant professional experience.

A strong portfolio demonstrating both design and web development capabilities will be highly regarded.
