Job Objectives
The Jobholder, as a member of the Flight Hour Services (FHS) entity, reports to the TSP Engineering Manager for Singapore Airlines/Scoot. The Jobholder is responsible for the delivery and performance of Systems/Avionics engineering activities provided to Singapore Airlines/Scoot.
In his/her function, the Jobholder, based in Singapore, is responsible for maintaining Singapore Airlines/Scoot Airbus fleet to ensure highest Operational/Dispatch Reliability and Aircraft On-Time Performance (AOTP) in line with CAAS / EASA airworthiness requirements and in accordance with Airbus Technical Standards and FHS Financial interests.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support to A320/A380 aircraft defects at line and pursue long term engineering topics pertaining to Systems/Avionics
- Responsible for Singapore Airlines/Scoot Parking and Storage Maintenance, overseeing the specific task issuances, expiry and technical deviations with Toulouse Scheduled Maintenance department (SIM) and the customer
- Ensure defect / delay root cause analysis and engineering technical follow-up, in collaboration with Toulouse Headquarters and the customer
- Develop close relationship with the Customer, to align and collaborate on processes and deliverables with Singapore Airlines/Scoot.
- Support with engineering analysis, action plan and technical follow-up on a monthly basis to Singapore Airlines Engineering Division Vice President at the Technical Standards Committee (TSC) meeting
- Support MRO / other FTM contractors and keep continuous monitoring of their deliverables / performance
- Maintain communications with other TSP stakeholders, with an integrated collaboration with TSP Operations Team
- Ensure close relationship with 1SY Toulouse, in order to escalate critical issues to be further investigated with Airbus Customer Support and Airbus Programs at the FHS organization level
- Ensure feedback of in-service experience as an internal customer, to the Airbus organization including Customer Support (1SY, Design office), A320/A380 Programs (SB) and FHS Engineering
- Provide technical support, if required, to Local Aviation Authority (CAAS), EASA and FAA
- Ensure compliance with Regulations, Airworthiness and Quality standards
- Contribute to the highest Operational / Dispatch Reliability to support Airbus commercial image and FHS-TSP contractual KPI - Aircraft On-Time Performance (AOTP)
- Contribute and implement process improvement / continuous improvement initiatives
DOA Design Signatory (Mechanical Systems)
- Approve/draft modification bulletins per applicable CS-25 airworthiness design standards and local Part 21 regulations.
- Approve/draft engineering notes per OEM repair approval document and local Part 21 regulations.
- Ensure compliance to Airbus Singapore DOA Design Control System as a Design Signatory.
- Maintain close working relationship with Airbus Quality and Design Office and ensure all DOA deliverables adhere to internally approved scope with Airbus Design Office.
- Participation in DOA Audits with TSP Quality and local aviation authorities as required.
Job Requirements
- Minimum degree holder in Engineering or an Aircraft maintenance license holder
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Airline/MRO, in an engineering position
- Maintenance environment experience is a strong positive
