Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineer role based at the TCMA facility in Serendah. The Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and improving production processes, ensuring that assembly operations meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing process performance, troubleshooting technical issues on the production line, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and implementing engineering solutions to reduce downtime and defects. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, supporting new model or process introductions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and cost reduction projects. The Engineer will collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to maintain smooth operations and achieve key performance targets.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in engineering principles, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience or knowledge in automotive manufacturing, assembly processes, or production engineering
- Proficiency in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process documentation
- Good command of written and verbal communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams
- Competence in using engineering and productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, basic CAD, data analysis tools)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively on the production floor
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is an advantage
- Willingness to work on-site in Serendah and be hands-on in a fast-paced production setting
