Job Summary:

The Backend Operator is responsible for performing post-processing and finishing operations for PVD sputtering targets and evaporation materials. This role supports manufacturing activities including ultrasonic cleaning, sand blasting, laser peening, surface preparation, inspection, packaging, and material handling to ensure products meet quality, cleanliness, and customer specifications.

The Operator is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of following standardized work instructions in a precision manufacturing environment.

• Perform backend manufacturing processes for sputtering targets, evaporation materials, and related components.

• Execute ultrasonic cleaning operations following approved cleaning procedures and contamination control requirements.

• Operate sand blasting equipment to achieve specified surface finish, roughness, and preparation requirements.

• Perform laser peening processes according to work instructions and process specifications.

• Conduct visual inspection of products before and after processing to identify defects, contamination, or damage.

• Perform deburring, polishing, and final cleaning operations where applicable.

• Ensure products meet dimensional, appearance, and cleanliness requirements before pass to final QC inspection.

• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform routine equipment setup, startup, shutdown, and cleaning activities.

• Follow manufacturing work instructions, SOPs, and quality procedures.

• Complete production records, process logs, and inspection documentation accurately.

• Verify job travelers, batch records, and production paperwork before processing materials.

• Support in-process inspections and quality audits.

• Follow all EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies and procedures.

• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals, blasting media, and manufacturing equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.

• Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma, NITEC, Higher NITEC, Technical Certificate, or equivalent vocational qualification.

• Secondary school education with relevant manufacturing experience may also be considered.

• 1–3 years of manufacturing or production experience preferred.

• Experience in metal processing, semiconductor materials, precision manufacturing, vacuum coating materials, or surface treatment operations is an advantage.

• Experience operating ultrasonic cleaning, blasting equipment, or laser processing systems is preferred.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively communicate and collaborate with China-based stakeholders.
