Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

Support the Procurement Manager in establishing a centralized Group Procurement function by driving category management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement analytics, and governance initiatives across the Group. The role will also provide operational procurement support when required to ensure business continuity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage procurement categories across the Group.
  • Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and supplier consolidation initiatives.
  • Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and commercial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain the Preferred Supplier List and Supplier Master Database.
  • Conduct supplier qualification and performance evaluations.
  • Analyse procurement spend and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Prepare procurement dashboards, KPI reports, and management analytics.
  • Maintain procurement policies, SOPs, and governance documentation.
  • Drive procurement standardization, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support RFQs, quotation evaluations, and supplier sourcing when required.
  • Assist with Purchase Order processing, supplier follow-up, and delivery coordination during peak workloads.
  • Provide procurement support across subsidiaries to ensure business continuity.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing, preferably within the construction, engineering, or project-based industry.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial evaluation, and price negotiation.
  • Good knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing best practices, and contract administration.
  • Experience in spend analysis, cost optimization, supplier performance management, or procurement reporting will be an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of procurement governance, procurement policies, and Delegation of Authority (DOA) practices.
